A stinky bus full of middle school students was evacuated because of a can of axe body spray
A Florida school bus was evacuated earlier this week for an unusual situation: too much Axe body spray.
According to WFTS in Tampa Bay, middle school students were evacuated after the bus pulled over near Parrish, which is about 15 miles northeast of Bradenton, because of the strong stench.
Another bus arrived at the scene to pick up the students, the station reported, and local emergency medical technicians came to check the students, but no one was transported to the hospital.
In a Facebook post, the Parrish Fire District said 15 students had mild respiratory irritation.
“All students were triaged and prioritized according to their initial complaint,” the post says.
Fire officials said all 30 students on the bus were accounted for, treated and released with refusals to be transported.
“At this time, the incident is being ruled a prank,” part of the Parrish Fire District Facebook post says.
The post says there is still an ongoing investigation into the matter, in which bus cameras will be reviewed and further interviews will take place.
